On my 12th day I ventured more into Odawara. I had seen only a few posts about Odawara before and I wanted to visit places outside the big city’s this visit such as Odawara which is a city in Kanagawa, just outside of Yokohama.

I set off with my girlfriend from where I had stayed and went straight to Mister Donut for breakfast :) .

The campaign at the time I visited, was a Rilakkuma campaign. The design was cute. You can find out about Rilakkuma here.

For the campaign some donuts were made in the shape of the cute bear character.

I tried a selection of different donuts and even an soy sauce and nori (seaweed) donut, which didn’t taste too nice to me.

We left Mister Donut and I was driven into Odawara city.

We walked to Odawara Castle from the city, you can view the pictures of Odawara Castle here.

After visiting Odawara Castle I headed back into Odawara, on the way I visited Hana-Ringo a little shop selling handmade items which I had seen on a blog somewhere else before.

Japanese vending machines:

Vending machines can be found everywhere, and you can buy anything pretty much, such as the pancake flavoured milkshake in this picture:

I went to a sushi bar with my girlfriend and her friends called Kurazushi after spending the evening in Odawara.

Me and friends:

I had never been to a sushi bar in England, other then Yo!Sushi. I loved the touch screen where you ordered the sushi and other food. Every so often they had random games coming up where you could win a prize.

The sushi came in on a little train, the tuna and salmon sushi was so delicious.

After eating TOO much sushi :D , I checked in to my new hotel in Odawara, the Hotel Kunimi.

I didn’t know this at the time, but I had reserved a room at the other Hotel Kuminimi in Odawara City. I was lucky enough that I could change my reservation for this hotel, the staff at the hotel were very friendly.

The room was sweet too for the price:
