If you didn’t know today on 21st June 2011 is the Summer Solstice (Summer/Winter equinox).
To celebrate the Summer Solstice, Google changed their homepage for this special occasion and they asked Japanese artist Takashi Murakami (村上 隆) to create these kawaii variations called “The First Day of Summer” based on his popular Kaikai Kiki (カイカイキキ) franchise.
