Coca-Cola celebrated the 125th birthday of the company this year (2011), and they’ve celebrated it with style with some amazing design/promotion.

For this anniversary Coca-Cola covered the headquarters building in Atlanta, GA (United States) with white sheets, where they projected an animation about the 125 Years and illuminated the whole building. It looks amazing in the video.

Coca-Cola created am advert to show the 125 Years of the company, as well as re-broadcasting the original 1971 advert.

Coca-Cola also amended the packaging design (the cans and bottles), where the created a vintage design to try show 125 years. I like the design more then some of the newer designs I have seen.

At Selfridges & Co, In celebration of Coca–Cola’s 125th year anniversary, the very first vintage Coca–Cola bottle called the Hutchinson was reproduced. This item also comes with a special anniversary box.

Retro Poster Maker

Coca-Cola also created a retro poster maker where you could become part of one of the old style vintage adverts.
It was pretty neat.

Coca-Cola Exhibit:

Finally for the 125th Birthday Coca-Cola worked with London’s Design Museum to exhibit a collection of memorabilia at the Design Museum Tank in London, England. The exhibition focused on the distinctive bottle shape and the iconic logo.
