Paris For The Day, P3

Goukaseishi, Paris

Nearer the end of the day in Paris, the low clouds had sort of lifted and we could see the top of The Eiffel Tower in the distance from The Louvre.

Near Le Carrousel du Louvre, near the walkay/entrance for the road near the Louvre, they had these pedestrian crossings on each side (Around 5 in a row), which was slightly weird.

We made our way along the Rue de Rivoli to find somewhere to eat, before we made our way back to the Louvre.

We found a restaurant called Le Musset which is on the street “Rue de l’Échelle”. You can find more where Le Musset is here.

The venue didn’t look too bad outside, and inside it looked pretty cool.

We were seated and given menus, where I was given one in English and my gf was given one in Japanese. She ordered a sandwiche, but I ordered this pasta with mozzarella, peppers and pesto.

The pasta was so nice and the price wasn’t too bad for €13.90. The Coca-Cola I ordered was pretty pricey, as for a large glass it was €7.50. On finishing my food, we had a slight problem when I asked for the bill.

My gf was still finishing her food and when the bill arrived the waitress said “Pay bill now”, where as I tried to tell her that we will soon..it seemed really rude when she said “No! Pay bill now!”.

I paid up anyway, but I wondered at first if this was a translation problem or if some tourists in previous years had run off without paying?

On our way back we saw plenty of souvenir shops along “Rue de Rivoli” and found a shop selling crêpes. We bought a Lemon Crêpe which was so nice.

and then made our way to La Fayette on our way back which is a pretty big department store, which covered a massive area with people selling stuff on the streets around the department store.

One part has a huge food hall, selling sweets and other food items.

I came across a few stalls/displays full of macaroons :) !!!

I love macaroons so I ordered a box of them, and also one which had two big macarons and cream in the middle.

After spending some time looking around and getting lost in the department, I made my way back with my gf to Paris Gare du Nord station where we wanted to get a bite to eat before catching the train back to England. We noticed hardly any seating in Paris Garde du Nord, which was a bit weird?

I ordered some pancakes with Nutella, but ended up getting this which was just put on the plate.
