The 64th Sapporo Snow Festival – 5 chome Environment Square

The 64th Sapporo Snow Festival launched yesterday, and this sculpture looks amazing. I was sent a link to this today, but I wish I could see it for real.

I love projection mapping, as I liked how it was used for Ralph Lauren before.

Sappor 64th Snow Festival Project Mapping

At environment square, a detailed reconstruction of the Hōheikan of Nakajima Park (closed for renovation till 2016) was made out of snow. This is the worlds first video projection mapping onto a large snow sculpture after dark.

It looks amazing with the cute polar bears altering the Hoheikan.
