To sum up Gouka Seishi in just a few words, I would say that Gouka Seishi is a: travel, design, photography and Japanese related blog.
The site is updated myself Keith Morrell (www.goukadesign.co.uk) and also a few guest contributors. I am a designer based in Northern England and I love anything to do with graphic design, website design, photography and film. From an early age though I have loved the Far East, especially Japan.
I chose the name “Gouka Seishi” for my blog as I liked the name and the fact that “Gouka(豪華)” in Japanese means ‘Gorgeous’ and that “Seishi(生死)” means ‘Life and Death’. I learned only a few months ago that Seishi also has another meaning which is rude, but that is not the meaning I wanted 
.
This website was mainly for promotion of my portfolio site, but overtime the website developed from being a design related/portfolio site into a site with information about Japan and travel.
I started mentioning my interest about Japan where I travelled to for the first time in March of 2010 where I had followed mainly blogs but never really experienced how different this country was compared to any other I have been.
My First Trip To Japan:
With this blog I have tried and will continue to try share information and experiences I have had from visiting Japan and how you could enjoy your first trip to Japan and so on.
I have a real passion for anything to do with Japan, but my blog will also have as mentioned the odd post about design, travel to other places and other media. I try to keep everything consistent, but I want to make travel to places easier. Especially to places I have been.
