They all have the same music and a comedy style to them.

The last Pocky advert is cute. The heart becoming bigger and pushing the guy away is a funny end to it.

A few David Beckham Adverts, in Japan

Some interesting and funny adverts featuring David Beckham in Japan, with adverts for Meiji chocolate and Adidas.

The adverts are pretty cheesy, which makes them funny. The first one above is for Almond Crust .

Another Meiji advert above for Almost and Macadamia chocolates.

And the last one for Adidas that shows David Beckham doing some sort of trick shot.

All of the adverts feature David Beckham in some sort of football related scenario.

Cute Nose Commercial

I was sent this cute nose commercial starting off with two Japanese people seeing a giant tengu, with the boy in a costume, with a big pink fluffy nose.

The website is cute for the campaign of “Kinosato Takao San” (To the Forest Village, Mt. Takao”) i think it means?, that can be found here.

I like this video for Kanye West – All of the Lights, that features Rihanna and Kid Cudi. The video uses nice imagery with the lights and a mix of typography. I like how the typography has been adapted to the lyrics and the use of Japanese and other languages, mixed in with it all.

Perfume – ナチュラルに恋して (NATURAL BEAUTY BASIC)

I love this video by Perfume, who are a Japanese J-Pop group.

I like the design of the set and how “Natural Beauty Basic” has been used, the catchy song and of course the cute Japanese girls in the group .

Typogami

Typogami is an interesting font/typeface that can be used with Adobe After Effects CS3, 4 and 5.

Turntable Rider by Cogoo

An interesting project by Cogoo to turn a BMX into an instrument?

I like how the BMX mixes and scratches a beat when the bike is ridden.

The bike wheels act as jog wheels, and the handbrakes, become sound pads.

Two of the artists featured in the video are DJ Baku and a BMX rider called Kotaro.

Jay-Z & Kanye West – Niggas In Paris

A catchy track and an even better video, “Niggas in Paris” by Jay-Z & Kanye West.

*Warning – The Video is heavy with strobes and lighting*

The live performance footage from the Los Angeles show at the Staples Center on their Watch The Throne Tour was used. The video was directed by Kanye West.

The video uses lions, panthers, The Notre Dame, strobes and nice lighting. The video slightly reminds me of the awesome video for Drakes song “Take Care”.

Japanese Inspired TV Adverts on UK TV

Two more adverts on British TV now and in the past on British TV, which have Japanese inspiration.

Vanish Powershots – Geisha Advert

The first advert shows Geisha’s doing a presentation and then in a modern twist dancing to a game. The advert for Vanish this year (2012)is simple, and I think it works well with the brands colour’s.

Mini

The advert for Mini is pretty old now (released possibly in 2010?), for the Mini Countryman. The advert tries to convey the size inside the “Countryman” with Sushi Chefs in the back making Sushi and sending it to the front on the tray. The advert is pretty random, but gets the message across.

Drake – Take Care [Video]

An interesting music video for Drake, featuring Rihanna.

I love the lighting and the song “Take Care” by Drake, and as mentioned before the video by Jay-Z and Kanye West for “Niggas in Paris” slightly reminds me of this video.

I use of animal shots is different to the usual rap/hip hop videos you usually see. The video was directed by Yoann Lemoine, a French music video director.

The video is very artistic with the slow shots of the animals and the rest of the imagery coming together, to create an awesome video.
